About Us
Our Story
Wanting to create an experience beyond the ordinary restaurant, Dean and Gabrielle embarked on a quest to find the perfect venue that would bring their vision to life. After careful consideration, they discovered a place that offered ample space for their kitchen gardens and personal aspirations. The building itself required extensive care and attention, but the team embraced the challenge with enthusiasm, eager to revive the heritage of this historically significant establishment.
To their delight, Dean and Gabrielle were met with overwhelming community support and a strong sense of belonging in the Otways. Immersed in the local community, they formed connections with small-batch local farmers and fishers who eagerly offered their support and products, fostering a true sense of community.
Dean and Gabrielle have exciting plans to expand their vision even further. They are currently in the process of planting their own vineyard with a view to crafting their own wines. Their focus also lies on enhancing the network of forest walking trails and creating a dedicated area for forest wedding receptions. Additionally, they entertain the possibility of introducing on-site accommodations, a spa, sauna, and wellness retreat, creating a haven that offers comprehensive relaxation and rejuvenation.
